Project 333, Phase 3: The Lookbook (In Front of the White Door)

Thanks to our camera's self-timer, and a handy little Joby, I was able to document 50 of my outfits during this current phase of my Project 333. Quick lil' snapshots "in front of the white door", these aren't the greatest photos (although I tried to mix things up with my poses, which are mildly entertaining, in and of themselves). Documenting this phase is key. I set out with one primary goal: to achieve maximum flexibility and style diversity, using ONLY my very limited 33 selections -- which include accessories, shoes and outerwear! (For a full list of my 33 items, see Project 333, Phase 3: The List.)

As I flip through this Lookbook, I am satisfied that I have compiled a complete visual summary, representing the breadth of styles/moods/looks this minimal wardrobe can achieve. And I think I was successful in doing what I set out to do. Take a look for yourself. 33 Items . . .countless possibilities!

.....Thanks for looking!

  1. Wow. Just, wow.

I loved reading this so much, thank you for the time and effort you put into it! I have enjoyed learning about Project 333 from you, and seeing your progress and success.

I seriously need to do this myself. I think to some extent I am *already* doing this, since I wear the same few clothes most of the time. Now I just need to gather some strength and purge the clothes that I don't wear from my closet.

You are an inspiration, Linda, keep it up!!

    1. Hi Julie! I used Photoshop to put together the collages. Once I got the template designed and worked up. ...it was pretty easy just switching out the "parts and pieces".

  4. You look so cute in all of your outfits! I've been looking into project 333 for some time and wished there was someone who would post all the outfits they assembled. Finally I happen to see your blog and,--VOILA! Thanks again for posting! I love this!

    1. Thank you! I'm glad you appreciate it. Putting together the "Lookbook" was quite the undertaking, but it really was worth it. It really was the only way to illustrate just how the individual parts & pieces could easily be put together in a multitude of ways, that somehow never look repetitive. The Project works, and I hope this gives you the spark to start your own Project 333 endeavor!

  5. Your outfits are awesome. I love how you layered them all and didn't stick with black with all of it and had some color and personality to your looks. The poses just make it cute. :) I'm looking to do this, but I live in MN and it gets cold here too. I hope to post mine on my blog eventually. But, because I stay at home I don't need "office pieces" anymore. Thanks for this. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next and congrats on your weight loss.
